Having worked in healthcare for over 50 years, I have seen many changes in its delivery over the course of years….some good and unfortunately some bad. My expectations were exceeded by this office and its staff. It started with a complete health history sent me to complete and bring with me for my visit. (Time to complete the form prior to my appointment and time to look up dates, etc. which I never have at my fingertips when filled out in the office). The receptionist was knowledgeable about my procedure for the day as well as knowing my insurance coverage. My appointment was on time. The staff in the back got me on time and told me what to expect and answered all my questions. The staff appeared to be well trained, introduced me to the physician, and assisted throughout the procedure. They worked like a team, keeping me informed and assuring i was comfortable. The procedure went well and was completed the first time although it was my understanding that the procedure may require more than one step! The doctors and staff spent a lot of time determining the best closure to prevent scarring. When the surgery was completed I was given postoperative instructions with a follow up appoint in 5 days. The staff gave me telephone numbers to call (covering 24 hours!) in case I had any problems. The office did call the next day for post-op check but I eas not by my phone and was having no problems so I didn’t call back. On the 3rd day I got to remove my pressure gauze and see what the surgical area looked like! My wife who also is in healthcare and I were pleasantly pleased with the appearance of the surgical area. Hard to tell where the procedure was done on my face. Went back today and had my sutures removed and questions answered. Very pleased with the support staff, the surgeons, the facility and the excellent care I received!
The office tries hard to fit my appointments to a time frame that works for me. Everyone works together as a team and are very helpful. I am also provided with information and explanations using terms that I can understand. We truly appreciate the time and attention given to us from scheduling to procedures/exams, especially as we come from about an hour away.
