Alison Spiker, MD
Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology
Dr. Alison Spiker is a board-certified dermatologist. She earned her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University as a University Honors Scholar and Division I Track & Cross Country athlete. She graduated with honors from the West Virginia University School of Medicine as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. After a one year internship at Charleston Area Medical Center, Dr. Spiker completed her residency in Dermatology at Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania. She served as Chief Resident and went on to complete her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology at Geisinger Health System.
Dr. Spiker has received numerous academic honors and awards including the Internal Medicine Intern of the Year during her internship and the Medical Dermatology Society Mentorship Award while in dermatology residency. Throughout her academic years, she has held leadership positions on state and national levels, including her current position as a committee member for the American Academy of Dermatology. She has participated in academic research, published articles and presented at state and national meetings.
Outside of work, Dr. Spiker enjoys spending time with her husband, Grant, and their daughter, Zelia. As a family, they enjoy exercising, gardening, traveling, and reading.
