Lydia Carpenter, MD
General Dermatology and Patch Testing
Dr. Lydia Carpenter, a 2002 graduate of Harvard Medical School, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist with Dayton Skin Care. She compliments the practice with significant experience in pediatric and adult dermatology, as well as specialized training in allergic contact dermatitis and patch testing.
After medical school, Dr. Carpenter did a one-year medical internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, CA. She then practiced for 2 years as a flight surgeon and went on to complete her residency in Dermatology at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium, TX, in 2008. Throughout her training, Dr. Carpenter has earned numerous academic and military honors.
Dr. Carpenter served as Chief of Dermatology at both Yokota Air Base, Japan, and Eglin Air Force Base, FL, finishing her military career in 2018 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
Dr. Carpenter has a strong interest in allergic contact dermatitis and patch testing, an area of specialization greatly needed and previously lacking in the Dayton community.
Outside of the office, Dr. Carpenter enjoys music, traveling, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
