General Dermatology
Ramiz N. Hamid, MD is a dermatologist at Dayton Skin Care who will begin seeing patients in July 2023. He is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based medical and surgical dermatology services to his patients.
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Hamid completed his undergraduate studies at Davidson College where he was captain of the men’s club crew team. He attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine on a full scholarship and graduated with a Certificate of Academic Distinction. Alongside his medical education, Dr. Hamid pursued his interest in health policy by earning a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health.
After his internship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, Dr. Hamid returned to Wake Forest for dermatology residency. During this time, he served as Chief Resident and trained under world-renowned leaders in medical and surgical dermatology. He has published numerous scientific articles and serves on a national health policy council for the American Academy of Dermatology.
Outside of work, Dr. Hamid enjoys playing tennis with his wife, rooting for Charlotte sports teams, and reading picture books to his daughter.
